The process of picking out the pieces of media for this project was relatively undemanding for me. Though tedious, overall, it was a simple procedure that I actually enjoyed having to go through. To find the photos and videos I wanted to use, I went through my camera roll, Snapchat memories, and TikTok drafts. I have many photos and videos that I love of myself in these apps, so having to look for specific things throughout an entire array of them takes a while. Not only do I have a lot that I like, but I also wanted to pick out ones that had similar vibes to them, so that added to the time span of choosing them.

Most of my choices were found in my regular camera roll, this is because I do not use filters too often so the regular camera is usually fine. The photos I chose have lighting that isn’t too bright or dark and enhances my features. When choosing photos, I wanted those that had me looking presentable, I have many images that are off guard and unflattering so I did not choose those. Also, I chose photos that showed my personality and the type of spirit that surrounds me. I love to laugh and smile so that’s why some of the pieces of media have me looking very exuberant. But, in the ones that I’m not ecstatic in, I am still joyful, just in a more serene manner.

I take more photos than videos, so it was easier to choose these than photos. I like to capture moments that I think are valuable and worth looking back to, so I had many to choose from. Also, I like how I look more in videos, so this is another reason why I had a large variety of videos to choose from.
The videos I inserted into this project are when I was genuinely happy and at peace with life. I didn’t want to choose videos that were too long so the ones that I did include aren’t too lengthy. In the end, the videos were lighthearted and warm because I still wanted the whole presentation to have a pleasurable atmosphere surrounding it. Music means a lot to me, so choosing only 2 was the most strenuous and challenging part. At first, I didn’t know which one to include out of all of the ones I really love to listen to. But in the end, I wanted a calm and relaxing vibe to the presentation, so that’s why I chose the ones that I did.
