The non-diegetic sound in the film added the suspenseful feeling that you'd typically find in horror films. There were times where the lighting in the film allowed the vision of the viewers to be limited and that is something my par

Hi bloggers! The opening scene for our final task will be a horror scene. We chose this genre for our final task because we feel we can have a lot of inspiration in creating the film. There have been multiple films where an antagonist has been a doll. The Child's Play and Annabelle series are two of the more popular ones. We also chose horror because we feel many of the conventions and elements can easily be implemented.

Our Pitch

Image
Our pitch blog Pitch A: A young girl attains an old doll and immediately after, things in her life start to go wrong Pitch B: A group of friends visit an abandoned house and all the doors start disappearing, they scramble to escape before all exits are gone. Pitch A: This pitch should be chosen because it is a story that will keep the watchers intrigued. The storyline of this pitch is something relatable and we would love to see how me and my partner could develop it. There are many variations of this story but through our CAMS we can enhance the thrill. We would want to work on this pitch because finding the equipment necessary wouldn't be too stressful. We feel like working on this pitch would expand our knowledge of horror films, which we are not too familiar with. Pitch B: We would like to work on this pitch because creating the concept took me a while. The storyline is something we haven't really heard of yet so to be able to actually make it come to life would be amazing.

Group Blog

Hi bloggers! I am back with another blog, and this time it's to talk about who I'm going to work with for the Final task. When deciding on who to work with for this project, I reflected on past assignments. In the last media studies task (the music video) I worked in a group of 4. I had worked with my friends. And though I enjoyed spending time with them, I realized that working together for school wasn't the best route. In the end everything came out sufficient and adequate, but the process of getting everything together was quite stressful. On account of all of our conflicting schedules and strong opinions, there was sometimes mishaps. Of course, in all situations there are ups and downs, but I decided to go down a simpler route for this task. Although I didn't want to work in my past group for the final task, I also didn't want to work alone. Previewing the assignments attached to this final task, I have realized it will take a lot of time and effort to get done.

Hi bloggers! My name is Lyne and I’m going to give you a quick glimpse of my life. As of right now, my favorite color is pink, my favorite number is 2, my favorite shoes are my Converse, and my favorite animal is the penguin. I really love my parents, and God, spending time with my friends, relaxing, and doing good on tasks. Something that I have a great adoration for is music. Music brings me a peace that quite few other things can bring me. My favorite genres of music are R&B, K-pop, alternative, hip-hop, and rap. I love listening to music, dissecting all the parts, analyzing the lyrics, listening closely to the background vocals and instruments, and just being immersed in the song. I love artists like Sza, Frank Ocean, BTS, TXT, Daniel Cesear, Mitski, Smino, 6Lack, Conan Gray, Adele, Teyana Taylor, Jhene Aiko, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Deftones, The Smiths, Faye Webster, Chloe x Halle, and The Neighborhood.
