Editing !
Hi bloggers!
I am back again with a new blog.
This time it is to talk about the editing journey I went on to assemble my group's video.
My group and I decided it would be smartest to put me as editor.
Though it isn't going to be a blockbuster movie, I still wanted to put a lot of effort into it.
Because not only would I be affected, but so would my peers/friends.
This pushed me to put even more effort than I would on a regular project.
And though it was a little stressful, it was enjoyable.
It was enjoyable because it was fun looking over the clips and also because I enjoy editing as a whole.
But before I could edit, I had to transfer the clips.
The videos were shot on a phone that wasn't mine.
First, I sent the videos from the recording phone to mine.
This took a while because it was a lot of clips.
Then, I also sent them to my laptop.
My laptop is not my source of editing, but I still sent them as a backup plan.
My laptop is a "backup plan" because I'll use it just in case my main basis of editing malfunctions.
After receiving the clips, I inspected them.
I looked at the videos and chose which ones would best fit our video.
I wanted to pick videos that weren't necessarily "perfect" but were able to put our point across.
I wanted the final project to feel warm and natural.
In some videos, there were of course slight blunders, the "actors" aren't professionals.
But looking through them led me to find various clips that would work very nicely.
This was only part of the editing process.
Make sure to come back again to hear about the rest of the procedure.
